# Production drop Pecos

Section 247 block 13 just south of Pecos TX. I received this month report and payment. The well production went from averaging 24,000 to 400. The well is almost 3 years old. My question is this normal to drop like this in a month?

It is possible that the well was shut in for fracking of nearby new wells (for protection purposes). Or it could have mechanical trouble. Wait for another month or two and then contact the operator if it hasn’t rebounded.
