I have a small ORRI in a lease with a preferential Right To Purchase clause. A company sent a letter requesting that I waive those rights for this lease.

I don’t intend to purchase my share of a working interest that is being purchased by that company. However, is it wise to waive rights for any future purchase offers?

You can waive it for just this one event, without giving up your rights in the future. I would always keep the option alive.
