# OXY Over payments in Hidalgo & Starr Counties

My operator OXY is now deducting from royalty payments claiming they overpaid six years ago. Has this happened to anyone in this group? The affected wells are in the Dixie, Mortgage Hopkins tract and the Judd Estate wells.

I just checked my Jan 2016 Oxy check stub for Rife Gas Unit and Garza State GU, both in Starr County. I’ve got a host of deductions going back to June 2013. These deductions result in an overall reduction of about 25% to my check. As a royalty owner you typically can’t recover royalties in Texas that are more than 4 years old courtesy of the Texas Supreme Court in:
