# Oil an lease bankrupt

Hi, I was getting a check from Pointe Coupee Parish from Entergy and then they sold lease twice and now last one filed bankruptcy on oil well. So what does that mean? Is the oil well not producing anymore and we won’t receive money from this lease anymore?

As long as the well is still producing, who produces the well and what their financial situation is shouldn’t keep your checks from arriving. The well might have stopped producing on its own though. If you share the well name I can look it up for you and let you know what I find.
