I have received a couple of unsolicited offers to buy mineral rights in Section 3-12N-12W in Caddo County, Oklahoma. I have only been receiving a couple hundred dollars a year in royalty payments these past few years. I own 28.12 acres. A few years ago I received an offer of $3000 per acre but turned it down. Recent offers are slightly less. Is there drilling activity planned for this section? What are reasonable offers per acre in this section?

When you get more than one offer, something might be coming. There are rigs running in the townships to the west and to the east, so time may be your friend. See what develops.

When you do decide to sell, if you do, shop your rights around. Don’t just get one offer. There are various websites to do that on and to get the best price.
