# Offer to Purchase

My sisters and I own mineral rights in NE 6 Township 3 Range 67 West in Weld County. There are 5 producing wells on this quarter with Anadarko and Sundance. I have received an offer to purchase rights to future wells on this property; we retain rights to the current wells. It is a substantial amount of money, but I have never heard of this kind of deal before. Has anyone else had this experience or know anything about it? Makes you wonder if he knows something I don’t.

There are an increasing number of offers to purchase in Weld County, but I would also be cautious about the same. Many are tied to speculation and tied up your interest needlessly and then others may be just ahead of you receiving some larger payments, i.e., well results are public, but you haven’t seen that first big check. Sales can be a good fit for certain owners, just be careful about how you handle.
