“I’m unfamiliar with the format here. I’m curious about the well ssw of Palestine that was permitted as a deep Bossier/Haynesville horizontal test. Is there any reliable news about it? from Trigger”

Moved question from Smith County. There are many wells SSW of Palestine, but I suspect you are curious about the Lavinski 1 by Expand. It is a stratigraphic test to 18,600’ and was filed 3/10/26. API is 4200132869. It was spud on 4/24/26.

it is located just to the west a few feet from the County Rd 2137 in the abstract between CC Stibbins A-714 and Sanchez Abstract A-59. The abstract name is missing on the map I am looking at which is rather odd. Just north of Crooked Creek.

Local folks may be able to comment on additional information.

Expand did a similar operations (i.e., vertical strat test / scienc well) in NW Houston County with their Yancy drilling.

After evaluating the data / info from the vertical well, they came back and drilled a Hz well in the Bossier / Haynesville section. Well has been completed and there are rumors out there about production rates - nothing public and “solid” yet.

No rumors on my radar screen @ this well / future plans.

But my educated guess is that Expand will be back and drill a Hz well here to test Bossier / Haynesville section
