Welcome to the forum. If you are trying to straighten out royalties and your are the heir, they are trying to make sure that you are the correct person to pay and that she is indeed deceased.

Don’t be surprised if they ask for additional information after receiving the death certificate. It is likely that they will require a probate before they begin paying royalties to the heirs.
