Mitsui filed a completion report for this well on June 11. The 24-hour test results suggests this may be a very good well!

Test production was 38,927 MCF, on par with Comstock’s wells. The producing interval was only 6,145 feet, much shorter than the typical Comstock well (10,000 feet or longer). Will be interesting to see how the production figures look in the coming months.

Alan, Do you have any news on the Mitsui Ohenson well? What about reliable production data from the Expand Yancey well? Thanks

No info on either. No completion reports filed on either well yet.

Has anyone heard that the Mitsui Lipsey wells are going to be plugged? Someone told me they were due to very high h2s. I’m hoping this is wrong, but supposedly this is boots on the ground information.

I think that photo is of the Kretzschmar PP 1H and PBH 1H wells right down the road from the 2 Lipsey wells Mitsui wells finished a couple months ago. I recognize the wellheads from an earlier visit to the pad

I thought exactly the same thing till I read the small caption. They are using a Comstock well to illustrate. Wish I could read past the paywall. Always looking for Mitsui updates.

May gas production was 1,190,178 MCF! That’s an average of 38,393/day. This looks like it could be a really good well.

Marketing costs shown in the Comptroller’s CONG system were about $0.45 per MCF. Comstock’s marketing costs are much higher, around $1.15, because Comstock is building a large profit margin into the marketing rates. If a royalty owner doesn’t have a cost-free provision, the royalty is being reduced by the large marketing charges.

The Expand Yancey seems to be choked back at 20 mil a day.

Thank you for your insight. Bringing to our attention the pressure recorded on the Whittaker 1H Mitsui well helps us understand the low production numbers.

Glad to see Mitsui has a good one here with Lipsey. Looking forward to seeing how they develop the lease.

Still showing as drilled but not completed in Enverus. However, it does have a RRC Lease ID, which is something that is normally obtained around the time production starts.
