Does anyone know how long it takes to close and get paid, when you sell your mineral rights after signing PSA? The title is all clear and up to date. ---

Usually it’s around 30 days. It’s possible Hurricane Harvey could be affecting things. You could also put a closing date on your PSA. ---

That is usually stated in the Purchase Agreement. I have set closing dates of anywhere from 30 to 180 days, depending on the complexity of the transaction. ---

If the terms of a PSA don’t have a drop dead date, it isn’t a legitimate PSA. Payment may depend on how long it takes to flip or open title negotiations. ---
