Hello, I have received letters from two different companies interested in leasing my mineral rights (a very small piece of land under an acre). What is a typical leasing bonus? Is it worth getting an oil and gas attorney involved in signing a lease? Property is in Midland, Texas.

You will probably get better advice if you list this in the proper county and state and attach the legal description. Folks in that county will have a feel for prices. Anything around Midland probably wouldn’t hurt to have an attorney look at the terms in order to protect you.
