We have received an unsolicited offer to purchase non-producing mineral rights in Jeff Davis County from a legitimate company. Would like to know if someone is willing to share recent experience with sale of rights in that county. Company is not interested in leasing (nor are we). Any information or advice appreciated.

FYI: There seems to be some interest in drilling 18 to 25 miles Northeast of Fort Davis. Devon Energy is drilling a 12,000’ wildcat well (API 243-30107) Northeast of Fort Davis. Also, as of April 17, 2017, Cody Energy has an approved permit to drill a 12,000’ wildcat well Northeast of Fort Davis (API 243-30108). If those were my minerals, I would wait and find out the outcome of those two wells before I would consider selling.
