The land surface was sold for this purpose but was wondering if there should be more.

Question: If I have a saltwater injection well on my property, am I entitled to compensation for sales generated from companies using this well?

Tim:

That depends.

1. If it was sold for that purpose and the buyer is not using more than agreed, then probably not.

2. If your well is being used to dispose of saltwater produced from the minerals in the spacing unit as your well, then they should be within their rights.

3. If there is no agreement described in #1 and SW is being disposed from minerals not in your spacing unit, then there may be a trespass.
