# Marathon well: SCOUT 1-20H in Sec. 20-6N-6W

I’ve been getting royalties from this well since about 2015. This month, Marathon sent me a much, much larger check than usual with payments dating back to original production. It also appears to include interest. Anyone else received a big check with back payments from Marathon from this well or any others? Has Marathon perhaps been auditing its own accounts after settling a class-action with royalty owners last year? Just curious if anyone has any relevant info, or a similar experience.

It’s nice, for sure. But it would have been even nicer to have it when it was due.
Not sure what kind of accounting you use that pays for some of the production, but not all of the production.
