I have an overriding royalty interest on some state leases in New Mexico. The current operator is BXP Partners V, L.P. out of Houston. BXP provides an email on the anticipated check but the checks seem to get lost every so often (maybe every three to four months). They then put a stop on the check to reissue with the next check.

Now it is also interesting that the checks I do receive seem to be dated last day of the month, postmarked the 8th or later and stamped by US Mail a week later. So something seems troubling. What if anything should I do?

Perhaps that operator has direct deposit. That might solve the issue.
