@linnie While local is nice, qualified is way more important. Oil and gas (mineral rights) issues mostly are subject to statewide regulation and law, not localized to the county or region footprint. A lawyer licensed in the state of Texas qualified as to oil and gas is what you want, regardless of what city they are in.
