I recently found out that I have inherited working interest in Eddy County, New Mexico. I have been able to establish interest with the current Operator so far with 34 wells in my Township, Section, Range that I can easily locate via the County Clerk website. How do I find out all Townships, Sections, and Ranges that were included on my inherited original lease from 1971? Finding a copy of that original lease with all that is included has been difficult to narrow down. Any help is appreciated. The oil and gas operators are not forthcoming with any information at all. I actually had to call and tell one operator about the other 33 wells I had interest in that they service.

I inherited a number of mineral properties also. You can search [Courthouse.com](http://Courthouse.com) and [Countyrecords.com](http://Countyrecords.com) for recorded documents of the person you inherited from. If they are too old, I have found the Eddy County County Clerk very helpful in sending the document via email for a small fee. It helps if you have the volume & page # for them by searching **‘Eddy County Eagle Web’** & then doing a search there.
