I have four Townships in North Dakota. Two of them, what I can figure out, could be worth looking into. I am very new at learning about these mineral rights. Can you give me guidance if I need to do any further research on my mineral rights? My sister and I inherited these mineral rights from our grandfather. First one, Mountrail County, North Dakota, T158N, R89W; Sections 2 and 11. What I understand, this Township is 320 gross acres. Second, Renville County, North Dakota. T160N, R85W; Sections 3, 10, 11; maybe 400 acres. Thank you for guiding me in the right direction.

It looks like you are outside the eastern edge of the Bakken about 10 miles on the 158N 89W area. North Dakota gas and oil has information. Wish you the best in your oil adventure. Consider it a blessing and have fun researching.

Get familiar with the ND oil and gas commission website. It has a fount of information. [https://www.dmr.nd.gov/oilgas/](https://www.dmr.nd.gov/oilgas/)

Mountrail 158N-89W 2&11 I do not see any wells, leasing or permits. There is a bit of leasing in sec 4 in the last 24 months.

Renville 160N-85W 3, 10, 11-A bunch of old Plugged and Abandoned wells. No new leasing, wells or permits. Sparrow is leasing in section 12 just to the east.
