# Latimer County Mineral Right ownership

I found some old papers in with family photos. It appears my great grandmother owned rights in 20-5N-19E Latimer County, Oklahoma. I don’t know if they were ever sold or updated after her death. Does anyone know how I would find out?

A good place to start is [www.okcountyrecords.com](http://www.okcountyrecords.com) The digital files go back to about 1990 or so. If she passed before that, you would need to get someone to look at the actual books in the county courthouse. Try her name, her children’s names, etc.
Depending upon the exact location in the section, there is still some production, so contacting the operators may get you another step along the way. Do the papers say which quarter section she is in? For example, NE4 NW4?
Also try searching the unclaimed funds from the OK treasurer’s office and/or the state in which she was living at the time of death and the state of Delaware.
