# Juneau Energy in Brazos county

Has anyone heard of plan for Juneau Energy to start drilling? We have a mineral rights lease with Juneau that expires in November, so we are hoping they will start drilling before the lease expires.

Phil,

At this time there have been 4 approved drilling permits for Brazos County since January 1, 2017 and I see none for Juneau Energy.

You may already know that Juneau drilled two wells near your survey that were spud in Jan 2016. Both plats were extremely large at over 1200 acres each - not what I would want to see. One well was just OK, and the other not so good. Around August, Juneau sold a 50% interest in both units to Lonestar Resources who now operate the units.

Juneau has a bunch of money behind them. I have heard they have been active pursuing leases east of B/CS, but don’t know what their plan is for your area.
