# JIB Statement vs Check

Why does my monthly JIB check not match the monthly statement/report? Typically they are close but never match. My mineral interest payment always matches the monthly report.

A JIB statement is the working interest owner’s share of monthly costs / charges for the well. You can pay the costs directly or the costs can be deducted against the attributable net revenue interest. If you cannot reconcile the figures, you should first ask the operator to help you.
