Can a vertical well be converted from an injection well to a producing well?

Mechanically, yes. Whether or not it will make any oil is another question. If it has been an injection well for a long time, most of the movable oil will have been pushed far away and might not be economically recoverable.

Thanks, I think Legacy converted the Tate #3 well to producing and plugged the #2. These are very old wells and they started paying again. Been searching to see what was done and I quite figure it out.
