# How do I update my mailing address on my mineral deeds with the county?

I have changed my address with the company I receive my royalties from. I believe I should also change it with Montague County or do I need to change it with the RRC? Any help would be appreciated.

You should contact the Montague County clerk. They should be able to tell you what you need to do at their level to make address changes. Also, you will need to contact the operator or company that pays you. There is no reason to contact the RRC. MK

Change your mailing address with Montague CAD (tax authority) for property taxes. RRC keeps no records about mineral owners as any lease is contractual matter between you and the oil company.

County clerk is deed records, such as filing affidavit re address. CAD is separate tax authority to assess taxes.
