Some counties are online for free to view, some are through 3rd party service like courthousedirect. Depends where your royalties are: state & county helps to provide additional details.

Start with contacting the county register of deeds where they are located.

Also, if the interest is inherited your interest in the property might have been established through a probate, affidavit or hiership or other court order. Most states establish title through land and probate records. This is a long way of saying you might own an interest even without a deed.
