They contacted me regarding wells that they claim have not been producing for a very long time or are not producing on 25-12N-11W.

Sent a bunch of papers to sign.

Sounds like they will make demands on current lessee of this land to increase or start production for which they get a piece.

Never seen this angle, any experience?

I know more than 5 people Firethorn has helped get out of bad leases. They have helped those people get a bonus when they wouldn’t have gotten one, go from a 1/8th to 3/16ths, and they helped them get a better lease form. They did all of that and paid for the legal cost which was considerable.
