Hi, my family owns some mineral rights in Mitchell County, and I am supposed to be distributing them shortly. I am wondering what is the best way to find out what we have, and if it has been divided recently. Thanks. Also, if we sell these outright, I am wondering who the best company is to sell to. ---

You said you were to be distributing the mineral assets of your family. Is that the result of probate or administration of an estate? If so, was an attorney representing you? If that’s also true and you were satisfied with his or her work, I’d ask that person about a recommendation in the Mitchell County area. ---
