Hello, I own surface and mineral in Section 11, Township 18, Range 24W, and I’m not sure what the court record below means. Can someone please help explain? Please and thank you.

They’re applying for a multi-unit horizontal well to be drilled that covers a part of your property.

Open the document and you will see what they are trying to accomplish on the horizontal well. Usually, the exhibits will have a well path.

Thank you! Below is what I found on the document but this is from 2023 just as the docket number is CD2023-1516/17. Do you see 2 year delays for drilling wells in your experience or would you think Mewbourne has moved on and won’t drill this one.

I have seen delays for multiple years. Not uncommon as operators plan their drilling around product pricing, vendor supplies, frac crew availability, etc. If they are setting new OCC dates, that is encouraging.

The reservoir is still there. They may be balancing the drilling that they have to do to keep new leases with saving this area for later infill drilling.
