Your question is too vague to get good answers. You need to give an abstract number because drilling is about location, location, location.

There’s currently one rig running (EXTECH OPERATING, LLC) to the southwest of Montague in Jack County. The next closest rig is in Archer County. There are some new permits scattered all around the county though, Atoka Operating, Inc., Bridwell Oil, Bend Petroleum Corp., Steven B. Tettleton, 3-T Exploration, Inc., etc…

The closest permit to Bowie would be Quail Rodge Operating, LLC, Gilbert Unit, just west of town.
