# Do i pay cost of capping well

I have a small working interest in a well that is going to be capped. I am told I will have to pay a portion to have this well capped. Is this true? Is this common practice?

Yes on both accounts if you are a working interest owner. Mineral owners do not pay any cost to operate the wells.
