Where do I look to determine the date of first sale on a particular new well in Oklahoma? I’m assuming that date is in a database somewhere. Specifically, I am looking at Marathon wells in Garvin County Section 18, 3N 4W - Newby and Screaming Mimi wells.

Mid-September for those wells. There are three Newby wells. Should be seeing DO’s around April.

The OK Tax site “active date” is usually within a day or few of the first sales date. Many times the completion report will also have the date.

Looking at the 1002A’s indicates six months after first sales would require a payment in early February to avoid a penalty. First sales date on all Newby and Mimi wells was the first and second week of February.

First sales were in September. Drilling was finished in February.
