I’m aware of considerable activity in Southwest Dawson County, Texas but was wondering if anyone has information on specifically any activity or possible future drilling/leasing activity around the Block 34 T4N area? This would be southeast Dawson County. Thanks for any info.

What abstract? There are many leases and permits listed for that area.

Hello, my family has an interest in one section, Block 34T4N - Abstract A-1344 (Section 12), that has two verticals, so is held by production. We have recently had a lot of interest from mineral buyers but are not interested in selling. I don’t know much about Dawson, but poking around it looks like there is a rig on a permit from Ike Operating that is just south and east of where we are. There are also permits to the east of this section. I don’t expect too much action while the price of oil is low, but I’d hope the long-term prospects are good based on some news articles from the companies that were drilling there last year.
