We recently received a “cash offer” from Dakota Energy, LLC out of Bismarck, North Dakota, to purchase our mineral rights. I am trying to determine the validity of this company and offer. When I look up their website, I get a warning that the web page is compromised, so I do not proceed further. Any support or information on this company would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. It would be better if you posted your question in the state and county where your mineral rights are located. Give your township and range. The forum can then comment on activity in the area. Your first red flag may be a compromised website.
