# Cost basis of mineral rights acquired in 2015

I recently sold mineral rights in Weld County, Colorado. I need to know the value of those right in 2015.

If they were acquired through a probate, then the value will be set as of the date of death of the ancestor (or six months later if more favorable). There are appraisers listed in the Directories tab above and there are several in the Denver area who can help with a forensic evaluation.
