# Austin Chalk near Catarina

Does anyone have news of horizontal drilling in the Austin Chalk in Dimmit County? I think Rosewood has two or three wells permitted on existing Eagle Ford leases. Did Javelin and Rosewood enter into a recent agreement?

There are over 40 active permits in the Austin Chalk in Dimmit. All but two are horizontal. Murphy has a 2023 permit near Catarina. Rosewood has several near San Roque Creek.

I have difficulty understanding the Texas maps and am curious if my mineral interest is involved with these wells or permits.

In addition, I am interested in a parcel in Subdivision L. How close is that to my interest? Can you provide a map?

I am having some difficulty trying to find the exact lot. Do you know where you are on this map? Catarina is on the upper left of the map. Survey 1171 is to the SW of town. Subdivision I is in the SW part of it.

This is the same area from the TX RRC with the wells on it.

Do you have a street address? I am not having much luck with the rest of the address when I do a search on the lots. Not familiar with this area. Someone else on the forum may know how to search in closer.
