It means the severance taxes will be lower for a pretty good while.

I’ve come to the conclusion that Rick must be a teacher/professor. He is always teaching/educating us Mineral Rights Forum members about the oil/gas business in all aspects. Thank you, Rick. We should start calling him ‘Professor Rick.’ What do you think, Linda?

I’m sure I am not alone when I say thanks for all the information and pertinent information you bestow upon the rest of us Forum members. Life is a continuing process of educating ourselves. Too bad we aren’t ‘born educated’ and we wouldn’t make some of the mistakes we make in our lifetime. Thank goodness for folks like ‘Professor Rick.’

You’re right, Clint! All you guys seem to have your own talent to help us all learn! Thanks to all of you.
Professor Rick, thank you for explaining that. We knew that Swabbing John’s worked on that well for a long, long time and I thought maybe it was the oil company trying to recoup some of the taxes they had paid to them. But I didn’t really know anything at all about what I was reading. Good to know!
