# Any new oil activity in LaSalle County?

My brother and I just got a handsome offer to purchase our mineral rights (gas) in a plot in LaSalle County. I am concerned whether the company knows something that we don’t—like new production in the area (our plot has never produced, but there are wells within a few miles, maybe closer). Anybody notice a lot of activity in the area? Thanks!

You’re right they know more than you! Yes, there’s a couple of operators very active in LaSalle developing the gas fairway in the Eagle Ford.

There are a couple of easy ways to find out. Some you can DIY. Others charge a fee.

Hey Allan: I don’t know anything about LaSalle County but do know that if you will give a better description of where your minerals are located, you will get someone on this forum that will be able to get you some information that may help you with your decision making. Good Luck.
