Once signed with the company… do they drop you pretty fast? I had good rapport before I signed, now 3 calls and messages left, I don’t hear from the land (wo)man…

Short answer is yes, then landman (title, not gender specific) only gets paid to get the contract signed.
Long answer is, why would you need to contact them? If it’s a legal issue then have your attorney contact them. Otherwise they probably don’t want to talk to you until it’s producing or they want to re-up the lease.
My company on the original lease, PetroEdge, did not contact me after they resold the lease to another company. I don’t care but it would have been nice to get an update.
