EMAIL TROUBLESHOOTING
If you are not receiving email notifications from a group or a discussion and you would like to, be sure you are "Following..." the discussion or group. If that doesn't work, try the following:
- Trouble Shoot Email Notifications
- Check Your Email Settings - "Activity" - "In My Groups" has to be checked
- Try a Different Email Address
- Be sure you are Following Comments - For Groups, The "Follow..." link is right below the box where you type your message on the comment wall. If you are following and it is not working, "Stop Following", then "Following..." again to see if this troubleshoots the problem
If all the above fails, send me the following and I can have the IT group track down whether the system is sending the notification or not.
• A link to the specific piece of content that should have triggered the notification (i.e. give us information about a comment by (member name) and provide us a link to that page so we can see it)
• The subject line of the email notification that should have been sent (if you know it)
• The date and time the notification should have been sent
• Their time zone
• The email address that should have received the notification
