Yes there are plenty of people in your area, and are paying more. Me , for one. Feel free to contact me to talk about leasing your property. I think you will be impressed with the terms and we can do without an extension. Because the company is looking to drill in the immediate future

Tom, yes I am referring to the retained royality interest of acerage leased.  You are correct regarding the limited amount of horizonal drilling and related completed production ( I believe only two wells have been completed, but labled as producers by KCC) but nontheless there are companies trying to buy either all or a portion of the retained interest.  I thought perhaps you might know the going price since I believe you are in the oil leasing business.

Now I am actually more confused. You I think are now referring to your royalty. Which there is real set amount because it would depend on too many different factors, especially in the Mississippian , because there hasn't been many if any long term horizontal production from it in Kansas. So the wells are untested as to how long they will be producing/life span.

Tom, I am refering to the retained minerial interest aftering leasing your property or mineral interest.  I know everyone has different requirments regarding the retention of minerial rights, but my question is if you were intertaining the thought of selling, what is the going rate for a 18.75% retained  interest?

Are you asking about the leasing of your minerals or is someone trying to actually purchase your minerals? They are very different situations and I never recommend selling your minerals.

Tom Bay, can you tell me about any royality rights being purchased in Summer and if so what the market price is.  I have had several offers regarding one-half of my royality, but want to make sure these are fair offers.  Would appreciate your comments.

Tom can you give me some idea of what company or companies are in our area.  Again, it is T31-R3W-S20.  Or who I need to contact to see what is going on in our section?  I greatly appreciate your help....thank you!

Yes there is drilling in the area. But big oil is slowing down on the leasing. They have grabbed the majority of what they wanted and are now getting ready to drill what they have acquired. For the most part just the companies late to the game are still leasing in your area. The resy have really moved north and west. Next year all you will see is drilling.
