There seemed to be a lot of leasing activity in Love County at the end of 2012 into early 2013. Is that still going on?
Comment by Carolyn Turner & Raymond Turner on May 5, 2013 at 9:11pm Hi. I'm trying to follow what is happening in Love County but I'm a long ways away. There was a "Notification of Well Spud" at Sec. 21 Twp. 06S, Rge. 01W on 3/20/13. This is near where our mineral rights are. Does that mean they just started drilling at that site? What would be the next step to track the progress on the well? If the well produces would the company be more likely to drill a second well nearby or try farther away? Thanks for your insight.
Comment by Rick Tatum on April 16, 2013 at 7:09pm The website is frustrating in that I cannot find an easy way to zoom in to the section I am looking for.

Comment by Rick Tatum on April 16, 2013 at 7:04pm I am wondering why I can find a record on the Okla Oil+Gas GIS database which is in a section that I have interests in and have heard nothing about this well? I assume it is a spacing issue but I don't know. Does anyone have more info than I do? There are two other active wells in the same section and I know nothing about those either.
Thanks in advance

Comment by Olvis Ray Strickland on February 18, 2013 at 5:03pm Hello all, I am new to your County Group. I have noticed that Jack B Smith is doing a lot of leasing in some sections in 6S-2W of Love County. Our mineral interest is just north of that in 5S- 3W in Carter county. We just leased to Jack B Smith. Kind of wondering if the play might be moving north?
