Kristy, I broker sales all the time and yes that is normal. That is why they want to buy your mineral interest a/k/a royalties.  There are some HUGE sales being brokered at this time. I can't give out any numbers, but they are larger than I have ever seen.  DON'T SELL unless you are locked in and even then I would have my attorney look at the contract to see what my options were regarding backing out of the deal.

Kristy, that is what they are buying-your royalties-all of them!  And the royalties of any future wells.  If you have not closed, then seriously think about what you are giving up.

I have a question.  If you decide to sell and there is well in process, is it normal for the purchaser to request first production monies  regardless if you have closed or not?

Michael, you have quite a few wells that are producing.  Get in touch with Continental Resources and get the proper paperwork filed with them so you can get your royalties.  I wouldn't sell....

Mr. Crisp,

A few years back my husband used Garvin, Agee and Carlton Law Firm in Pauls Valley. Their number is 405-238-1000

Is that bad?

The Dansil 1-15-10XH (7N-7W) made the front page of the local newspaper.  A water vapor leak started about 5AM Sunday morning and continued to flow into the sky from the Chickasha site on Monday. Continental Resources Public Relations said the cause was the failure of a wellhead isolation tool.

My sister and I are looking to form an LLC in Oklahoma for our mineral rights. We want to use someone there as she lives in Ohio and I am in Arizona. Anyone have a good recommendation of someone they used for that? Thanks in advance!
