Denbury is close to, if not already, finishing a pipeline to bring CO2 to southeast Texas and that is after a $1 billion investment. Also, if the formation produces any water you get carbonic acid which means you're replacing pipe more often than you'd like.
It can be done, but CO2 is more scarce than water as crazy as that sounds. If you can invent a cheap technology to pull it out of the air, I'll invest!
